We are all surrounded by chemical substances that are insufficiently tested, are harmful to the natural flora and fauna, can reduce our reproductive capability or give rise to allergies etc. The best solution to such problems is to replace the dangerous chemicals in favour of less dangerous – a process which we call substitution. There are many good examples to be drawn on this from Danish industries, as it is illustrated and presented in this book based on experiences collected from 14 companies.
